Macarthur Herpetological Society was registered in April, 2000 and whilst we have had changes in venue and committees over the years, our focus remains the same. That is, to provide a friendly yet educational setting in which members and general public alike can share ideas and obtain knowledge about herpetofauna.
Meetings are held on the 3rd Friday of every month, though this is subject to change occassionally so keep an eye on the website or our Facebook page for the most current details. Doors open from 7pm with a presentation from a guest speaker at 7:30. Occasionally we will mix things up with a trivia night, swap meet or even a visit from a zoo or park. Entry to meetings is free for all financial members and only $5 for visitors.
Membership forms are available at all meetings and fees payable on the night. Membership can also be arranged online by contacting us on firstname.lastname@example.org
Single Adult: $15
Family (2 adults and children under 16): $30
Pensior/Student (with proof of status): $10
Macarthur Herpetological Society is a proud member of the HCN, representing our members views in relation to reptile and amphibian keeping in NSW.
The purpose of the HCN is to bring together herptofauna keepers within NSW to present a united front to government departments and provide feedback on issues affecting hobbyists. We are one voice for the herpetocultural community!
The delegates from MacHerps are Rhonda Glover (President) and Dennis Glover (Public Officer). Members are encouraged to get in contact with the delegates and respond to club emails to contribute to discussions around any issues raised.
